A family owned business, Goldworks owners, Wren and Ted Hendrickson have been making jewelry together for over 30 years, first selling their jewelry at juried craft shows and art galleries around the country, and finally opening their current store in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Goldworks has now grown to become a community of designers and goldsmiths, working together towards a common vision. The store showcases creative design and craftsmanship.

Specializing in our own original jewelry design, working in platinum, 18K and 22K gold, and exceptional gemstones, the goldsmiths at Goldworks embody the traditional art of fine jewelry making. Each piece of jewelry is individually designed and hand worked, allowing for constant variation of design, and the growth of creative ideas.

As a fine jewelry store in Chapel Hill, NC, Goldworks carries a wide selection of loose diamonds and fine gemstones as well as original jewelry design. If you're looking for a particular stone we don't have, we can locate the gem through our international connections.We specialize in custom jewelry design, and will make jewelry to order. We also will set stones that you have, and work with you to redesign old jewelry. Unlike many jewelers, we do not charge an extra fee for custom design. At Goldworks, the designers and goldsmiths are experts at interpreting your ideas and desires, and turning them into beautifully crafted jewelry.

We are known for providing outstanding personal service, and with our professional staff and in-house designer/goldsmiths, each with their own unique style and technical strengths, we are able to create virtually any piece of jewelry you want.
